The Grand Tour - Series 1 - Episode 1 - The Holy Trinity :: A Review

   If history has taught us anything it is that you can’t keep a good man down... or in this case a group of men and their cars. That’s right folks , after a 22 month absence from television the boys are back. James May. Jeremy Clarkson and Richard “ The Hamster” Hammond have returned to doing what they love best, driving cars and drving each other insane and nuts.

   No longer on the BBC or BBC America , the boys have gone to the wild, wild west now known as the internet or more importantly Amazon Prime streaming video. The 1st episode which was set to debut on Friday 18 November has been released early in all it’s glory and for all of us to watch with amazement and awe. Amazon will release each episode on Fridays for the next 12 weeks. That’s right folks uncensored and no... that’s right NO commercial interruptions . Instead of a studio , the boys will be traveling around the world not only driving cars but also doing the show in a tent from different places from around the world, which means the audiences will be different every time.

   The Grand Tour is basically what Top Gear could have been but much better. What The Grand Tour shows us is that Clarkson, Hammond and May are an entity of people who bring not only humor but the latest up to date info on cars but show us all that friendship is the foundation of the show.
Episode 1 came from America and it was done just right and Episode 2 is suppose to be coming via Johannesburg , South Africa.... what the boys have in store for us in the next 12 weeks is beyond me but I do know that whatever they bring will be full of cars and laughs. I look forward to episode 2 and beyond. All I can say is welcome back boys..... welcome back.
